Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions is actively seeking a Summer Intern in Financial Planning and Analysis! The FP&A Intern will support the Finance team in financial planning, forecasting, and management reporting activities within a fast-paced mortgage banking environment.This role is designed for students seeking hands-on experience in corporate finance, financial analysis, and executive-level reporting. The intern will gain practical exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis while supporting ad hoc projects and strategic initiatives at Angel Oak Mortgage Solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activitiesBuild and maintain Excel-based financial models related to revenue, expenses, headcount, and profitabilityPrepare PowerPoint presentations for senior management and executive reviewPerform variance analysis comparing actual results to budget and forecastAnalyze financial and operational data to identify trends and performance driversCompile, validate, and reconcile data from multiple internal systemsTrack and report key performance indicators (KPIs)Support ad hoc financial analyses and special projects as assignedMaintain organized documentation and analytical support in accordance with internal controlsWhat You'll GainHands-on experience in FP&A within a mortgage banking organizationExposure to executive-level financial analysis and decision-makingAdvanced, real-world use of Excel and PowerPointMentorship from experienced finance professionalsInsight into career paths within finance and strategyFuture OpportunitiesBased on business needs and individual performance, there may be an opportunity for a full-time position or an ongoing part-time internship following the conclusion of the summer internship.
