Senior Java Integration Engineer (JBoss, Apache Camel, NIEM) — Onsite Tallahassee, FL | Long-Term State of FL ContractHiring a Senior Java / EAI Engineer for a long-term contract with a State of Florida agency in Tallahassee. Stable, well-funded role on a critical statewide system.If you're a Java middleware engineer who's built real-time message-driven systems, and you've touched JBoss, Red Hat AMQ, Apache Camel, or NIEM/GJXDM data exchanges — this is for you.What you'd actually be doingEnhancing and supporting a Java-based investigative case management platform used statewide. The work is heavy on enterprise integration: moving data between systems in real time, building and maintaining XML web services, troubleshooting sub-second high-volume message transactions, fixing critical defects, and contributing to architecture and design decisions.You'll work directly with the state's IT team — not buried five layers deep under other contractors. Weekly status reporting to the project manager, occasional after-hours work for deployments or emergency repairs (compensated or flexed).Must-have experience (please don't apply without these)7+ years as an Enterprise Application Integration Engineer on enterprise-level projectsJava 1.7 or higher with at least one of these frameworks: Spring, JSF, Wicket, or StrutsJBoss 7+ (Red Hat EAP / WildFly counts)Red Hat AMQ, ActiveMQ, or comparable message brokerReal-time, high-volume message transaction systemsSOAP and REST web servicesOracle, SQL Server, or MySQL — including stored procedures, triggers, and viewsXML and XSLT (ideally with GJXDM or NIEM standards)C / C++LinuxSource control — Git, SVN, or CVSBachelor's in CS, IS, BA, or related field — or equivalent work experienceNice to haveApache Camel, automated testing tools, Jasper Reports, Eclipse, SMTP, SFTP, MS Project.Logistics — read carefully100% onsite in Tallahassee, FL.
