Locum Tenens General Surgeon Needed Near Union, WA (j-236612) Seeking a Qualified and Experienced General Surgeon Are you a dedicated and highly skilled General Surgeon passionate about providing comprehensive surgical care? This ongoing locum tenens opportunity offers flexible call coverage, starting as soon as possible (ASAP) and extending for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities: Provide on-call general surgical coverage, responding to a variety of surgical emergencies and traumas. Perform a range of general surgical procedures, including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder surgeries, colon surgeries, and laparoscopic procedures. Collaborate with emergency department staff, hospitalists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records within the EPIC electronic medical record system. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in general surgery and participate in ongoing professional development activities. Qualifications: Active and unrestricted Washington (WA) medical license is required. Board certification in General Surgery is mandatory. Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is required. Minimum of two years of experience in a general surgery setting is preferred. Strong clinical judgment, decision-making skills, and a comprehensive knowledge base in general surgery. Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patients, families, and healthcare teams in a high-pressure environment. Demonstrated commitment to providing compassionate and high-quality patient care. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and demanding environment with on-call responsibilities.
