Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. As a key member of our care delivery team, the LPN will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients across various settings. Duties:
- Provide direct patient care and support in a Level II Trauma Center setting, focusing on delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care to patients of all ages.
- Conduct patient assessments, including vital signs, to identify potential health issues and develop effective care plans.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies as ordered by physicians and under the supervision of registered nurses.
- Assist with case management, including coordinating care transitions, managing patient flow, and communicating with patients and their families.
- Utilize advanced systems and technology to document patient data, monitor patient progress, and support quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide primary care to patients, including conducting routine physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, and prescribing medications as authorized.
- Perform venipuncture and other invasive procedures as required.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring that all patients receive comprehensive, individualized care.
Experience:
- Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the state of employment.
- Experience in providing care to pediatric patients, including toddler care.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks, and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMRs) and computerized systems.
