As an Advanced OR Materials Technician , you will play a critical role in ensuring the right supplies are available at the right time for procedures across assigned Operating Room service lines. From managing high-value implants and consignment inventory to maintaining accurate stock levels in systems like Q-Sight and Par Excellence , your work directly supports surgical efficiency, patient safety, and clinical outcomes. In this role, you'll take ownership of day-to-day inventory management, including forecasting supply needs, replenishing surgical areas such as Endoscopy and OR suites, and ensuring the integrity of inventory through audits, cycle counts, and reporting. You'll collaborate closely with clinical teams, vendors, and supply chain partners to resolve backorders, maintain par levels, and proactively address supply challenges in a dynamic, time-sensitive environment. Job Responsibilities: Distributes surgical supplies to designated locations, inclusive of Q-Sight cabinets, Par Excellence locations, support rooms, sterile areas, and all appropriate areas within the Operating Room. Conducts inventory of Q-Sight & Par Excellence areas (including cycle count audits, monitoring expiring/at-risk inventory, and working through outstanding orders - providing substitute options when necessary). Restocks and returns unused product to assigned locations. Accountable for Q-Sight implant ordering, surgical device ordering and generating Q-Sight inventory management reports (implant/consignment serial number tracking, transactional data). Maintains audit schedule and reconfigures any assigned locations (par level adjustments and removals/additions of product) Consignment Replenishment Receives, unpacks, and delivers supplies ordered from vendors. Reviews and verifies accuracy of shipments by counting and comparing packing lists with all receiving/delivery tickets for accuracy of receipt. Performs basic contract administration by following up on back-ordered supplies with surgical buyers and notification to appropriate service. Assists management personnel in the maintenance of predetermined par levels of supplies. Interacts with clinical staff and maintains environmental cleanliness and order in specific work areas. Participates in quality improvement processes and ensures that order placement and delivery dates meet clinical needs. Performs fiscal year end physical inventories. Assists in overseeing all the activities to assure the availability of necessary perioperative supplies as needed. Provides guidance and backup for personnel in the OR Supply Chain department Performs other related duties as assigned or required. Required Job Qualifications: High school diploma /GED Intermediate knowledge of computer applications and software programs, including MS-Office (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel), Internet Applications, ERP systems, Surgical Information System (SIS) and advanced understanding of inventory management systems (Q-Sight, ParEx). Knowledge of inventory control processes with Intermediate understanding of clinical terms and procedures. Ability to multitask under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Must be flexible with schedule and provide coverage when needed, including after hours and weekends when necessary Superior organizational & communicative skills with high attention to detail. Advanced knowledge in all phases of Perioperative/Interventional Supply Chain. Preferred Job Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree preferred. Previous experience with Lawson (ERP system), Q-Sight or other inventory management solution preferred. Two years minimum of surgical Healthcare Supply Chain experience preferred.
