They are responsible for unloading paper rolls from trucks and railcars, stacking roll stock, maintaining an organized workspace, and loading rolls into industrial machines. Work is performed both indoors and outdoors. The job is fast-paced, requires attention to detail, and a relentless focus on safety.Primary job duties will include but are not limited to:Follow all safety rules and procedures and actively participate in the plant’s safety cultureLoad/unload production machines, trailers, and railcars while meeting safety, quality, environmental, and production expectationsPerform safety inspections for trailers, docks, and dock platesUtilize proper PPE for equipment safety checks and changing propane tanksAlert supervisors to product quality issuesMaintain housekeeping and organization in the workspacePerform various other duties as neededWhat You Need To SucceedMinimum 2 years of experience operating a power industrial machine (PIT) – prior experience at a paper mill or corrugated facility strongly preferredKnowledge of scanning systemsAbility to read, write, speak, and understand basic EnglishAbility to read materials to understand and apply content, such as instruction manuals and procedure manuals.Understanding of how to read shipping tags and shipping manifestsAble to perform basic mathMust wear safety glasses, safety shoes, hearing protection and other safety gear as required (We will provide any necessary PPE.)Ability sit/drive continuously with occasional walking, kneeling, crouching, squatting, bending, climbing, and grasping.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in an uncontrolled temperature environment (hot or cold)Must be willing to work any available shift Experience with inventory software preferredWhat We OfferCompetitive pay with annual increasesMedical, Dental and Vision BenefitsA career with a global packaging company where Sustainability, Safety and Inclusion are business drivers and foundational elements of the daily workCandidates are required to undergo a drug screening after receiving a conditional job offer, but before starting employment.Qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or other characteristics protected by state or federal law.
