The Registered Nurse will provide direct patient care to individuals with complex and critical conditions, including ongoing assessment, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring of vital signs. The role includes developing and updating individualized care plans, documenting patient status, and communicating changes to the care team. The nurse will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other clinical staff to coordinate treatments, support patient and family education, and promote safe transitions of care. Additional responsibilities include adherence to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards, as well as participation in quality improvement initiatives and unit-based teamwork.Qualifications Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe.Clinical experience in acute care, critical care, long-term acute care, or a similar hospital setting is highly beneficial.Demonstrated skills in patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, and documentation in an electronic medical record (EMR) system.Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team.Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple patients, and respond calmly and effectively in high-acuity or emergency situations.Commitment to patient safety, infection prevention, and adherence to hospital policies, procedures, and evidence-based practices.Associate’s degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred or willingness to pursue.
