CNC Machinist-1st Shift

CNC Lathe OperatorWe are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be an experienced machinist who operates and makes edits using Fanuc controls. This role is for someone who enjoys a variety of tasks, including setup, edits, and operating CNC machines. As part of our production team, the CNC Lathe Operator will be responsible for running two types of lathe machines in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient production from start to finish. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of CNC machinery and delivering high-quality products on time.Key Responsibilities:Program CNC lathes at the machine using Fanuc controls.Set up the machines for production runs, including tool changes, part fixtures, and ensuring proper machine calibration.Operate CNC lathes, ensuring parts are produced to specifications and tolerances.Perform basic machine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed to keep the machines running smoothly.Ensure that all parts meet required specifications by using precision measuring instruments.Work in a production environment to produce high-quality parts efficiently while minimizing downtime.Collaborate with other machinists and production staff to meet production goals and deadlines.Job Requirements:Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with experience operating CNC lathes.Proficiency with Fanuc controls is preferred.Knowledge of machining materials, tools, and processes.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a production environment.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.Additional Information:All necessary tools and equipment are supplied.This is a production shop, and candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced setting where they will be responsible for the complete process from start to finish.Regular shifts and occasional overtime may be required based on production demands however overtime is rarely worked creating a good work-life balance.
