Computer Aided Design Technician

Drafting & Design/Layout of Civil Site and Building Design Plans using AutoCAD software. Working in a team setting with daily communication with engineer to coordinate specific project goals and responsibilities. Collaborating to be as efficient and streamlined as possible in design of a variety of projects, from site development to complete commercial and industrial building design.ResponsibilitiesTypical tasks to include drafting existing topography and buildings from field data, setting up plan sheets and notes using templates, working with engineer to develop conceptual layouts/schematics for owner review, and producing final plans and details for approval and construction. Less frequent tasks to include preparing permit applications and final report & plan sets for distribution and mailing to local/state reviewers, owners, and contractors.QualificationsHigh level of detail, organized, able to check own work for errors, able to research and develop ideas independently, and able to document design steps for later review. High School Graduate. Drafting Degree and/or prior AutoCAD experience (college or workplace) a plus.
