If you’re located near one of these offices, we would love for you to spend time in the office regularly. Some roles are hybrid or in-office by design. For example, our engineering team in India works primarily from our Gurugram office.RoleWe’re looking for an Accounting Manager to own operating expenses and general accounting end-to-end. This role is responsible for the accuracy, integrity, and scalability of our financials across all non-revenue areas.This is a hands-on role with meaningful ownership. You will lead the monthly close, manage a team, and build systems and processes that scale with the business. You’ll operate with high ownership and strong judgment, partnering closely across Finance and the business to ensure financials are accurate, well-understood, and reliable.This role is best suited for someone who enjoys being close to the details while building processes that scale.ResponsibilitiesOwn monthly close, monthly consolidation, and financial statement preparation processes across multiple entities, including intercompany and foreign currency activityManage all non-revenue accounting areas, including operating expenses, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and equity accountingPerform and review detailed flux and variance analysis, identifying and proactively investigating unexpected trends or anomalies in our financialsIdentify and drive improvements to accounting processes, systems, and controls to support scale, reduce risk, and prepare the company for future growthLead and develop a team of 3 (Senior Accountant and 2 Staff Accountants), continuously improving close speed, reliability, and scalabilityLead the end-to-end audit process for non-revenue areasPartner with external advisors and internal leadership on technical accounting and corporate tax related mattersWhat Success Looks LikeThe close is predictable and efficient, and financials are accurateOperating expenses and cash flows are clearly understood, with visibility into key driversThe audit process is organized and low-frictionSystems and processes are continuously improving and scaling with the businessYou operate with high ownership and strong alignment, knowing when to move quickly and when to involve stakeholdersRequirements6+ years of accounting experience, with leveling adjusted based on candidate experienceExperience owning monthly close and general accounting processes in a multi-entity environmentStrong understanding of US GAAPExperience managing or mentoring a team is a plusTrack record of improving accounting processes, systems, and controls in a growing companyExperience with audits and working with external auditorsCPA or public accounting background is a plusCompensation$145,000-$165,000 + equity + benefitsPerksEmployer paid group health insurance for you and your dependents401(k) plan with employer match (or equivalent for non US-based roles)Flexible paid time offRegular company-wide in-person eventsHome office stipend, and more!Corporate ValuesFollow ThroughDeep UnderstandingWhatever It TakesDo Something Smart
