Job DescriptionJob Title: Manufacturing Quality Engineer - PFMEAPay Rate: $38.00-43.00 per hourLocation: Rockford, IL 61016 (Onsite 100%)Area Code: 815, 779Shift: 1stEmployment Type: Direct, full time, full benefits#pfmea #aerospacejobs #qualityengineeringJob Summary:The PFMEA Engineer will be part of a focused cross-functional team responsible for reviewing legacy Process Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (PFMEA) and associated drawings to ensure manufacturing processes meet current quality and engineering standards. This role will drive improvements in process planning and job routing while supporting both existing and new product introductions. The position requires strong collaboration with engineering, quality, and manufacturing teams to implement process updates and initiate necessary engineering changes.Key Responsibilities:Review and assess legacy PFMEA documentation to identify gaps and improvement opportunities.Verify manufacturing processes against engineering requirements and implement necessary updates.Update and maintain job routing and process planning documentation as required.Initiate and support engineering change requests related to process improvements.Collaborate with engineering teams to develop PFMEA documentation for new products.Core Qualifications:Mechanical engineering background with hands-on PFMEA experience.Ability to read and interpret aerospace drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.Quality experience with Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies.Experience working on or supporting manufacturing shop floor operations.Due to the nature of the work US Citizenship is required.Preferred Skills:* Background or certification in Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.* Bachelor's degree in engineeringBelcan provides a competitive pay and benefits package.
