BRANCH DRIVER

The Tent Driver is responsible for the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of crew, tents and related equipment for our Tents, Structure and Flooring Division. The driver must be able to show a safe driving history, read road signs, and communicate effectively. The driver may be required to stay on site to support foreman and crew with installation and breakdown, as needed. Duties and Responsibilities:Following the best practices for safety on and off the roadEnsures cargo is loaded and secured against movement and damageComply with all D.O.T. regulations.Collect and verify delivery instructionsEffectively plans trip using maps, GPS, written or verbal informationProperly and safely operate a box truck.Report defects, accidents, or violationsBe aware of weather conditions on road and plan accordinglyAdhere to all company policies, procedures, rules, and regulationsAbility to work cohesively as part of a teamMust have a positive attitudeOffer excellent customer service through friendly and professional serviceEnsure appropriate safety measures are followed; including wearing and use of safety equipmentMust be able to read, write and communicate effectivelyMust be able to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, and weekendsThe ability to adapt to and work well with changing priorities and situationsThe ability to define and prioritize problems and resolve them quicklyAbility to deliver, install, and remove equipment (tents, stages, floors, lighting, etc.) on an as needed basisQualifications Include:Must have DOT license, and ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening (background check)Working knowledge and understanding of Motor Carrier Safety regulations/DOT guidelinesValid drivers licenseMinimum of three 3 years of verifiable driving experienceSafe driving and accident historyShould have knowledge of the Maryland, DC and Virginia areaPreferred working knowledge of installation/strike procedures for frame tents, pole tents, structures, and other related equipmentMust be 21 years of age Strong attention to detail.Be familiar with basic hand tools, drill, saw, hammer, etc.Must be able to climb laddersStrong time management skills.Must be able to lift up to 50 lb.
