Lead with purpose.Light a Single Candle Foundation (LASC) is seeking a mission‑driven Finance Manager to serve as the senior financial leader for both Light a Single Candle Foundation. Your leadership will directly influence how resources are invested, how partners grow, and how communities thrive.What You’ll Lead Financial Leadership & OversightManage all financial operations for LASCOversee cash flow, forecasting, and reserve planningEstablish and monitor strong internal controlsLead annual budgeting and long‑term financial planningCompliance, Reporting & AuditEnsure timely compliance with all federal and state regulationsPrepare and manage the annual audit and 990 process with external auditorsMaintain clean, accurate financials with no significant audit adjustmentsGrantmaking & Partner SupportExecute all grant distributions and track allocationsReview partner budgets, financial statements, and annual reportsConduct community audits to ensure transparency and accuracyCollaborate with the Director of Community Transformation on partner cost structuresSupport ROI target setting and measurement with M&E and leadership teamsInvestment ManagementManage the investment advisor relationship alongside the Executive DirectorPrepare quarterly investment performance updates for the Board and Finance CommitteeLead planning and execution of the annual Investment Advisor MeetingLeadership & CollaborationCoordinate and lead Finance Committee meetingsProvide financial coaching and support to internal team membersContribute to a positive, mission‑aligned team cultureQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (required)5+ years of nonprofit financial oversight and analysis preferredStrong Excel skills and comfort with complex financial modelingExperience reviewing budgets, financial statements, and project costsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsHighly organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple prioritiesA collaborative spirit and a passion for serving vulnerable communitiesAbility to travel to LASC partner locations and conferencesResidence in the St. Louis region and ability to work from our Chesterfield office dailyWho You AreCompassionate and committed to poverty recoverySelf‑motivated, dependable, and proactiveFlexible, adaptable, and energized by a dynamic missionSkilled at balancing independent work with team collaborationDriven by excellence, integrity, and meaningful impactCompensation & BenefitsSalary: $110,000–$120,000, based on experienceAnnual performance and salary reviewPaid vacation and holidaysHealth insurance and retirement planAbout Light a Single Candle FoundationFounded in 2002, Light a Single Candle Foundation partners with organizations in El Salvador, Haiti, Honduras, Guatemala, Nicaragua, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and St. Louis, MO to advance sustainable poverty recovery.
