Director, Technical Program Manager

For our client, we are seeking a Director Technical Program Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a technology-driven environment.Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship availableCompensation: $241,600 – $302,000 annuallyResponsibilities Recruit, hire, and mentor a high-performing team of Technical Program Managers Define the long-term execution strategy for Enterprise programs aligned with company-wide OKRs Establish standardized processes for program delivery and cross-functional communication Act as the primary bridge between Engineering, Product, and Executive leadership to resolve dependencies Translate complex technical roadmaps into clear business outcomes and forecasts for executive leadership Drive the adoption of enterprise-grade standards for data quality and infrastructure reliabilityQualifications 10+ years of experience in Technical Program Management or Engineering Leadership, including 4+ years in people management Proven track record of building teams from scratch in high-growth environments Deep expertise in AI/ML lifecycle, covering LLM fine-tuning and deployment infrastructure Expert-level stakeholder management skills to navigate complex organizational dynamics Strong systems thinking to understand and enhance the broader technical ecosystemBenefits Comprehensive health, dental, and vision coverage Retirement benefits Learning and development stipend Generous PTO Possible commuter stipendOur client is an equal opportunity employer.
