Pay Rang e: $60,000 - $80,000/yearPosition SummaryThe Radio Frequency Designer is responsible for the end-to-end technical delivery of wireless Distributed Antenna System (DAS) projects, including site surveys, system design, commissioning, troubleshooting, documentation, and project close-out. This role requires hands-on field expertise, advanced proficiency with industry-standard design tools, and close collaboration with project managers, installation teams, and sales to ensure successful project execution.Key ResponsibilitiesSystem Design Utilize iBwave to develop DAS solutions that meet applicable codes, compliance requirements, and constructability standards Analyze benchmark data and import findings into iBwave to validate system design objectives Produce and review Bills of Materials (BOMs) Import floor plans, geocode locations, and model buildings within iBwave Site Surveys Conduct site surveys and collect benchmark data in accordance with company standards Identify and document site conditions relevant to the development of accurate and constructable system designs Perform site surveys independently or oversee survey activities performed by others Commissioning and Troubleshooting Develop and execute system test plans based on project scope of work (SOW) Capture required test data and installation photos to verify system performance and installation quality Troubleshoot DAS systems and validate overall system functionality and performance Documentation and Quality Control Ensure permit sets and construction drawings containaccurate code and construction details consistent with approved designs Review and analyze system performance data to confirm proper system operation Assemble and review close-out packages (COPs), including Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ) documentation Upload and organize project documentation within designated company repositories Project Support and Collaboration Collaborate with project managers, installation teams, and sales personnel to ensure successful project delivery Support project managers by directing the technical execution of assigned projects, including: Verifying installation quality Validating testing procedures and results Commissioning and optimizing systems Capturing performance validation data Reviewing close-out documentation Provide technical support and guidance to installation teams during project execution Participate in customer meetings and technical discussions as needed Assist in developing technical standards, processes, and training materials Participate in project post-mortem reviews and lessons learned discussions This job description outlines the general nature and level of work expected for this role. The company reserves the right to modify job duties at any time based on business needs.QualificationsRequired Bachelor’s degree in Wireless, Electrical, Radio Frequency Engineering, or a related field Proficiency with iBwave, Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, and AutoCAD Demonstrated experience utilizing RF test equipment, including: Sweep testers PIM analyzers Spectrum analyzers Scanners Test phones CW generators Demonstrated ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawing sets Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills Ability to obtain manufacturer certifications as required Advanced proficiency in: Microsoft Excel Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word Valid driver’s license Preferred iBwave Certification Minimum of 3 years of DAS experience Experience with public safety DAS/ERCES systems preferred Familiarity with major wireless carriers and related performance standards preferred Job Title: Radio Frequency DesignerDepartment: LINX WirelessReports To: Director of EngineeringFLSA Status: ExemptAbout LINXJoin a team that connects people through technology.
