Quality Control Construction Manager / Field Quality InspectorMassachusetts & New York (MBTA / Transit Infrastructure Projects)6+ Month Contract | Potential Extension or ConversionTarget Bill Rate: Approximately $65/hourWe are actively supporting a major public transit infrastructure expansion initiative tied to the Massachusetts Bay Transit system, with additional work expected throughout Massachusetts and New York transit and infrastructure corridors.We are seeking experienced, field-based Quality Control professionals to support high-profile underground infrastructure and telecommunications construction projects. This opportunity is ideal for a seasoned Construction Manager, Quality Inspector, or Field QC professional with experience in underground utility, telecommunications, electrical infrastructure, transit, civil, or related construction environments.Position Overview:The Quality Control Construction Manager will oversee field quality and compliance activities on active infrastructure construction sites. This role is focused heavily on field quality assurance and construction compliance rather than traditional scheduling or project management responsibilities.Candidates should have strong working knowledge of underground construction methods, trenching, grounding, concrete placement, compaction, and utility installation best practices.Key Responsibilities:Perform field quality inspections on telecommunications and infrastructure construction activitiesVerify compliance with project specifications, engineering drawings, and applicable codesInspect trenching, backfill, compaction, grounding, conduit, and underground utility installationsMonitor concrete delivery, placement timing, and compliance with IBC standardsEnsure proper documentation of material deliveries, concrete slips, and field quality recordsObserve and validate proper construction methodologies and installation proceduresIdentify quality deficiencies and work with field teams to resolve issues quicklyInterface with transit authority stakeholders and project leadershipSupport contractor oversight and ensure projects meet quality and safety expectationsMaintain strong communication with field personnel, subcontractors, and management teamsDesired BackgroundExperience in construction management, field quality control, or construction inspectionStrong knowledge of underground infrastructure constructionTelecommunications construction experience highly preferredExperience with utility infrastructure, electrical systems, civil construction, or new site builds strongly desiredFamiliarity with transit, public infrastructure, or transportation-related projects is a plusUnderstanding of compaction standards, grounding requirements, trenching practices, and concrete quality standardsAbility to work independently in active field environmentsStrong documentation and communication skillsPreferred Industry BackgroundsCandidates may come from:Telecommunications infrastructureFiber optic constructionCivil constructionElectrical infrastructureUtility constructionTransportation infrastructureSolar or renewable energy infrastructure projectsProject LocationsInitial work will support MBTA-related station projects in:Boston, MAFoxborough, MAAdditional work expected in:Upstate New YorkNew York Thruway corridorYonkers regionEngagement OptionsFlexible engagement structures available:ContractContract-to-hireLong-term consulting arrangementQualified candidates are being submitted to the transit authority on an expedited basis.Apply directly or message for immediate consideration.#ConstructionManagement #QualityControl #FieldInspector #Telecommunications #FiberConstruction #Infrastructure #TransitProjects #CivilConstruction #Utilities #MBTA #ConstructionJobs #FieldQC #ElectricalInfrastructure #NewYorkJobs #MassachusettsJobs
