Job DetailsDescriptionJob Title: Full Stack Developer w/Ruby on RailsClearance Required: US Citizen, DHS Public Trust EODWork Location: RemoteAlpha Omega is currently seeking a qualified Full Stack Developer w/Ruby on Rails in support of our Dept of Homeland Security customer. In this role, this individual will be developing and leading a successful DevSecOps, Cloud framework.This also includes tackling the challenges of Federal security requirements while implementing the quality driven software practices to reduce manual toil. If you like to dabble in multiple technologies and shift-left automation to create a unified software delivery and operations platform, please consider this opportunity.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve several software applications. Build and own full stack development for software applicationsDevelop new features using acceptance test-driven developmentParticipating in pair programming methodologiesBuild and own quality throughout the development cycle by writing automated unit tests, integration tests, functional tests, and UI testsWork in and with small feature delivery teams: cross-functional, cross-component team that completes many end-to-end customer features, one by oneDevelop and maintain API specifications using Swagger EditorDevelop new features using microservicesDevelop API design approach using AWS cloud and open-source technologiesParticipating in Extreme Programming methodologiesParticipate in product strategy, product design and product development activitiesUse lean and agile work management and engineering practices. Required QualificationsRequired Experience/Skills:3+ years of relevant professional experience. Proven full stack application development experience including front end technologies such as HTML/CSS/JS, React, and backend technologies such as Ruby, Java, Python, and database technologies such as Oracle and PostgreSQL. Excellent communication skills, written and oralStrong team building and collaboration skills1+ years’ experience with Ruby on Rails Strong experience with JavaScript. Experience with Git based source code repositories such as Github, Gitlab, Bitbucket. Agile development experienceIntellectual curiosityAbility to learn new technologies quickly and wear many hatsPreferred QualificationsExperience using Java Spring bootExperience using Python and DjangoExperience using AWS cloud services. Experience using Cloud FoundryExperience with ReactPreferred EducationBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentSalary And Benefit InformationThe likely salary range for this position is $112,000- $130,000. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary.
