Lead Component Builder
Position Summary:
The Lead Component Builder is responsible for producing cabinet and furniture components by operating production equipment and performing assembly tasks in accordance with specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. In addition to hands-on production, this role provides leadership on the floor by training, mentoring, and supporting other component builders, assisting with complex builds, and reinforcing best practices to support efficient manufacturing flow and consistent product quality.
Qualifications and Physical Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
5+ years’ experience in cabinet door building and/ or assembly required.
Experience operating CNC machinery and edge banding equipment preferred
Demonstrated ability to coach less-experienced builders, provide constructive feedback, and support skill development
Ability to read work orders, measurements, and basic technical drawings
Familiarity with hand and power tools used in component and cabinet production
Attention to detail with a focus on quality and consistency
Ability to follow safety procedures and production standards
Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team
Willingness to learn new equipment and processes
Ability to perform additional duties as assigned
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods during the shift
Ability to lift, carry, and move materials up to 50 lbs (with or without assistance)
Ability to perform repetitive motions involving hands, wrists, and arms
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and machinery
Ability to use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required

Role & Responsibilities
Component Part Production: Manufacture cabinet and furniture components according to production plans and specifications.
CNC Operation: Operate CNC machinery to cut, drill, and process parts; load materials and monitor machine operation.
Edge Banding: Apply edge banding accurately and consistently to finished components, ensuring quality appearance and durability.
Door Building : Assemble cabinet doors per design specifications, maintaining alignment, fit, and finish standards.
Outfitting Boxes: Install hardware, shelves, drawer slides, and related components into cabinet boxes.
Follow all safety, quality, and production standards
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Perform additional duties as assigned
