This role works closely with project managers, lead technicians, and installation teams to ensure copper and fiber optic cabling is installed safely, accurately, and in accordance with industry standards and project specifications. The Cable Puller plays a key role in supporting new construction, expansions, upgrades, and maintenance of high-availability data center environments.Primary ResponsibilitiesPull, route, and install copper, fiber optic, and low-voltage cabling in data center environmentsAssist with rack and stack installations, cable dressing, termination preparation, and cable managementInstall cable trays, J-hooks, ladder racks, conduit, and other cable support systemsLabel, bundle, and organize cabling according to project documentation and industry standardsRead and interpret blueprints, floor plans, cable schedules, and installation drawingsAssist with cable testing, continuity verification, and quality inspectionsMaintain accurate documentation of installed cabling and report completed work to supervisorsSafely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, lifts, and other installation equipmentFollow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific requirementsMaintain clean and organized work areas throughout the installation processWork collaboratively with technicians, electricians, and other construction trades to meet project schedulesIdentify installation issues and communicate concerns promptly to the Lead Technician or Project ManagerSupport material handling, inventory management, and job site logistics as neededTravel to customer sites and work varying shifts, including nights or weekends, when required by project schedulesQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious experience in structured cabling, low-voltage installation, construction, or data center environments preferred but not requiredBasic understanding of copper and fiber optic cabling systems is preferredAbility to read basic construction drawings and follow written and verbal instructionsFamiliarity with hand tools, power tools, cable pulling equipment, and cable management practicesStrong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality installationsAbility to work independently and as part of a team in fast-paced project environmentsExcellent communication, reliability, and time management skillsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work on elevated platforms, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workdayWillingness to travel and work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as project needs requireOSHA 10 certification, BICSI Installer certification, or other industry certifications are preferred but not requiredMust be able to pass required background checks and comply with customer site security requirementsCompensation & BenefitsAIS offers a highly competitive executive compensation package including:Competitive Base SalaryFlexible Time OffPaid HolidaysTechnology AllowanceExecutive Leadership Development OpportunitiesWhy Join AIS?This is a unique opportunity to build the legal function of a rapidly growing national infrastructure company.
