Service Technician (HVAC / Electrical Background Welcome) ABB | Escanaba, MI United States | On-site ABB is seeking a Senior Resident Service Technician to support our Quality Control Systems (QCS) at a customer site in Wisconsin. This hands-on role is ideal for technicians with HVAC, electrical, or industrial maintenance experience who enjoy troubleshooting complex systems and working closely with plant operations teams. What You’ll Do Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on ABB hardware and software systems Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and HMI/computer systems Maintain sensors, control equipment, and system components Respond to customer service requests and resolve issues in real time Support system upgrades, installations, and performance improvements Document service activities and follow all safety protocols Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation What We’re Looking For Associate degree + 2 years of electrical, HVAC, instrumentation, or controls experience , or HS diploma/GED + 4 years of related experience Experience using electrical test equipment (multimeters, voltmeters, etc.) Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Experience with control systems, sensors, motors, or automation equipment Familiarity with PLC, DCS, or building automation systems is a plus Willingness to travel up to 15% for training This is a great opportunity for an experienced technician looking to apply their HVAC or electrical expertise to advanced industrial systems while being part of ABB’s global service organization.
