Material Handler

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable Material Handler for our sheet metal warehouse. You will safely move, store, and organize heavy sheet metal products, coils, and raw materials. Proven forklift experience is strictly required to safely navigate heavy, oversized loads in production areas. Key Responsibilities Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts (and/or overhead cranes) to load, unload, and stack heavy metal inventory. Shipping & Receiving: Unload incoming flatbeds, verify packing slips, and stage finished goods for shipment. Production Support: Efficiently deliver raw materials to machine operators to prevent production downtime. Safety & Quality: Inspect materials for damage and adhere strictly to all OSHA and warehouse safety protocols. Qualifications Experience: 1+ years of forklift experience in a manufacturing, heavy industrial, or steel service center environment. Skills: Strong spatial awareness for handling long, sharp, or heavy metal bundles; ability to read shipping documents. Physical: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and work in a non-climate-controlled environment.
