🔹 Hiring: Automation Controls Engineer📍 Austin, TX | Onsite📅 Contract: 12+ MonthsWe are currently seeking a skilled Automation Controls Engineer to support automation systems, PLC programming, troubleshooting, and process optimization activities within a pharmaceutical/medical device manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with automated manufacturing equipment, control systems, and GMP-regulated operations.Key Responsibilities:Support automation and controls systems for manufacturing and packaging equipmentTroubleshoot PLC, HMI, SCADA, and electrical control system issuesPerform system upgrades, programming modifications, and equipment optimizationCollaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Validation, and Quality teamsSupport commissioning, qualification, and validation activitiesEnsure compliance with GMP, FDA, and company quality standardsAssist with root cause investigations, CAPA implementation, and continuous improvement projectsDevelop and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and system specificationsRequired Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Controls, Automation, or related Engineering field5+ years of automation or controls engineering experienceStrong experience with PLCs such as Allen Bradley, Siemens, or RockwellExperience with HMI/SCADA systems and automated manufacturing equipmentPharma, biotech, or medical device industry experience preferredExcellent troubleshooting and communication skills
