Start building a strong career that makes a real impact.Check out this video for more information!DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis position helps support highway and bridge maintenance by learning to operate equipment and perform important hands-on tasks. As a PennDOT CDL Operator Trainee, you will perform the following duties:Equipment Training:Train to operate trucks, loaders, and maintenance equipment safely and correctlyTool Use:Handle both motorized and non-motorized tools such as shovels, rakes, saws, and tampersSafety Awareness:Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment to keep yourself and others safeWork Area Monitoring:Watch for hazards and report injuries, accidents, and unsafe conditions immediatelyEnvironmental Practices:Carry out environmental protection steps required during maintenance activitiesOperational Checks:Learn to perform and document equipment inspections and make minor adjustmentsWork Schedule and Additional Information:Full-time employmentWork hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.Telework:You will not have the option to telework in this position.Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.You will receive further communication regarding this position via email.
