Applications must be submitted after 12:01 AM (EST) of the posted Job Posting Open Date and before 11:59 PM (EST) of the posted Job Posting Close Date to receive consideration.Serves as a Section Chief, within SFOO with direct responsibility for the successful planning, directing and execution of the operation and maintenance of the infrastructure of the C&SF, OWW and Canaveral Lock Projects.Supervises the section and provides technical guidance to project staff concerning maintenance of the dam structure and its appurtenances, administrative buildings, general utilities, roads, recreation areas, and grounds.Directs the development and implementation of project's annual work plan and the overall Program Management Plans (PMP) for business functions, projects and programs within the C and SF Project.Provides operational and environmental input into project Master Plans, Project Management Plans, Environmental Impact Statements, General Design Memorandums, Master Water Control Plans and other long term planning and managementResponsible for the operation and maintenance of the physical infrastructure of the C and SF project. This includes 10 major spillways structures, 144 miles of levee, and over 100 other outlet structures.Provides for and ensures Project Security, Mobilization and Emergency Management activities are planned for and implemented by ensuring that Project Mobilization, Emergency and Security Plans are updated annuallyProvides for and ensures Project Security, Mobilization and Emergency Management activities are planned for and implemented by following tropical storms or heavy rainfall events and activating personnel for preparation and inspections.Conducts personnel administration by assigning work to subordinates. Specialized experience is defined as experience that equipped the applicant with the knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of a Supervisory Facility Management Specialist.
