Set-Up Screw Machine Lead

Job Description: Our manufacturing company has operated for over 100 years and is in need of a Set-Up Screw Machine Operator. Experience with Davenport/ACME-Gridley is required. 1st shift (6am – 2:30pm M-F) Compensation: Commensurate with experience General job duties are listed below: Responsible for set up & troubleshooting of Davenport machines. Adjust the machine to produce parts in conformance with blueprints drawings & quality standards. Perform tooling installation & adjustments: cams, gears, threading, Reaming, Rotary Broaching, Recess, Shaving, Form, Cutoff etc. Ability to assist in training others on operation and setup of screw machines. Extensive experience with Brass, aluminum, steel and copper materials. Skills and Experience: Experience with Davenport/ACME-Gridley is required Mechanically inclined – Individual needs to be experienced with tools and machinery and can adapt quickly to fixings things both familiar and unfamiliar. Perform standard math – Individual needs to able to perform standard math to effectively make machine adjustments. Reasoning ability – Ability to think, reflect, and make decision to overcome obstacles. Versed w/ calipers, micrometers, gages….
