Read on for more details about this particular role.ResponsibilitiesProduction and process support:Recommend and assist our engineers with manufacturing process design changes to increase efficiency throughout our facilityProvide technical guidance and expertise when evaluating and integrating new technologiesAssist in sustaining engineering tasks for existing production linesCollect production data Provide support for operations software on Microsoft operating systems Proactively maintain existing operations technology systems and identify and resolve potential technical issues Work with vendor software support to address issues and facilitate upgradesSupport specialized operations software and toolsDocumentation data and system maintenance:Create and maintain Work Instructions, SOPs, SAP routings, and BOMs under managerial guidance Verify production data against ERP/MES for accuracy and integrity; report discrepancies to EngineerInterface with various departments including Engineering, Production, Materials, and Quality to ensure documentation is complete and used during design and production Support audits, validations, and process check by ensuring accurate documentation Provide feedback on improvements to process documentation and standard work Conduct time studies to analyze and improve work methods and process efficiency, as neededContinuous Improvement and Industrialization:Participate in Continuous Improvement activities such as 5 Why, Kaizen, and layout optimization projectsSupport development of Poke Yoke, error-proofing, or engineering solutionsProvide input to line layout design, ergonomic improvements, and process enhancementsRecommend and implement process improvements to enhance use of existing operations technology systemsSafety and Training Support:Conduct training of operators and line leaders on new or updated processes, SOPs, and Work Instructions as and when neededMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, promoting operational excellence and adherence to EHS standardsQualificationsExperience Required:Proven experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in assembly, machining, or process operationsUnderstanding of process documentation (work instructions, SOPs, routings, BOMs)Capable of supporting line setup, troubleshooting, and production improvement activitiesStrong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with Engineering, Quality, and Production teamsAttention to detail and accuracy in data collection and ERP/MES updatesStrong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence attitudes and behaviors Ability to manage workload and support multiple projects simultaneouslyDemonstrated customer centric focusMinimum of 5 years of applications support experienceEducation Required:High School diplomaExperience Preferred:Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing tools (5S, 5 Why, Poke Yoke, Kaizen, etc.)Experience supporting Continuous Improvement (CI) or problem-solving activities (DMAIC, FPY improvement)Manufacturing experienceSAP experienceABS experienceEducation Preferred:Associate’s degree in information technology or a related field may substitute for up to 1 year of experienceBachelor’s degree in information science, Computer Science, or a related discipline may substitute for up to 2 years of experienceTravel:Up to 25% travel may be required between U.S. facilities
