CORPORATE CONTROLLER | Confidential Search | Greater Los Angeles (Hybrid)Genesis Partners has been engaged on a confidential basis to lead the Corp. Controller search for a venture-backed deep tech hardware company in the Greater Los Angeles area. This is a foundational hire. You will own the accounting function end-to-end, build the team and systems from scratch, and partner directly with the C-Suite, engineering, and supply chain on cost, sourcing, and operational decisions.What you'll own:Full accounting function: GL, month-end close, GAAP reporting, reconciliationsVendor payments, leases, payroll, and all cash disbursement activityFinancial controls, policies, and audit-readinessTax documentation, categorization, and filingsManufacturing variance analysis Spend analysis across capex, industrial supplies, chemicals, raw materials, and indirect categoriesBoard, investor, and fundraising reportingCost reduction strategy across direct and indirect categoriesBackground:5+ years in accounting; formal Controller or senior accounting leadership experience strongly preferredCPA requiredManufacturing, engineering, or supply chain industry experience requiredStrong command of inventory accounting, standard costing, WIP, revenue recognition, and capex/fixed asset accountingBig 4 or Big 10 public accounting background, high-growth or tech startup experience, and audit-readiness all plusesBachelor's in accounting, finance, or business; advanced degree a plusAdvanced Excel Comp & Benefits: Up to $215K base + meaningful equity, 100% employer-paid medical/dental/vision Location: Greater LA area, hybrid.
