After School Program Teacher

After School Program Teacher Friends Select School is seeking a number of part-time After School Program (ASP) teachers to care for and supervise those students in our After School Program during the 2024-25 school year. The program's focus is on Pre-K-5th grade and is organized in a classroom-based manner. Ideal candidates will be reliable, and flexible, and will bring their own unique interests into those classrooms with engaging, age-appropriate activities. Whether it is knitting, theater, painting, music/film production, gaming, or coding we are looking for creative individuals to staff our program. Individuals with a current lifeguard certification are also needed. This is a part-time position with hours from 2:30-6 PM Monday through Friday, as well as full-day coverage during school vacations/closings. All ASP teachers will be required to attend an orientation during mid-August. Interested individuals will also have the opportunity to apply for additional hours through substitute teaching. Duties and Responsibilities: Provide consistent leadership and care to one's assigned 'homeroom' Create innovative, engaging, and age-appropriate activities for the students Adhere to set schedule and program guidelines Present professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintain a high standard that supports the Friends Select mission and community guidelines Follow the school's health and safety guidelines Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
