Hinge Assembly Operator - 2nd Shift
We are seeking experienced, motivated and hard-working Automated Assembly Machine Operators to join our growing team of production associates at Blum USA on 2nd Shift. This is a great opportunity to connect with an established international company.
Job Responsibilities
As an Automated Assembly Machine Operator, you will be responsible for running a production machine that automatically assembles hardware for kitchen cabinets such as door hinges or pull systems for drawers. Most of the required skills and duties will be learned through extensive on-the-job training.
Additional responsibilities for this Operator position include:
Startup/shutdown machines per recommended methods
Maintain proper levels of material in hoppers and adjacent work area
Complete all visual and measurable quality checks as directed
Monitor machine operation and take corrective action when necessary
Comply with all safety guidelines/procedures
Maintain all required housekeeping standards
Maintain accurate production report data
Clear all jams/errors following recommended troubleshooting methods
Complete product changeovers as directed
Cross trained to run various processes and operate multiple machines as required to meet production schedules
Consistently meet machine output rates established by Industrial Engineering
Job Requirements
To be successful in this type of position, we need team players who bring a positive attitude to the work place and enjoy being around and working with others. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 3 years experience in an industrial manufacturing environment and possess a High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution.
Other requirements for this position include:
Proficient in the operation of advanced automated pick & place production assembly machines (including diagnosing & troubleshooting error messages)
Diploma or certificate in a related technical field from a community college is helpful
Standing the entire shift
Frequent lifting up to 25 lbs
Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Frequent bending, reaching & stooping
Must be willing to work 2nd shift hours (3pm-11pm) and overtime (including weekends)
Must be able to work effectively in a cooperative team environment
