Maintenance Assistant
Are you a hands-on problem solver who loves working in a dynamic environment? Our senior living community is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help ensure our buildings and grounds are well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for our residents. If you’re reliable, communicative, and skilled in general repairs, we want you on our team!
Responsibilities:
Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with repairs, painting, and overall upkeep of the community
Facilitate preparing apartments for new residents and maintaining common areas
Ensure that our community is operating smoothly with routine maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and more
Support the resident transportation program, including serving as a backup driver when needed
Uphold safety standards by participating in fire drills, disaster planning, and team member training
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
3+ years of facility maintenance experience (senior living experience preferred)
Strong skills in plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Ability to work independently and collaborate with various departments
Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
CPR/First Aid certified and able to meet all state health-related requirements
