Litigation Paralegal

Goosmann Law is seeking a full-time Litigation Paralegal to join our team! This position is based out of our Sioux City, Iowa office. This role offers the opportunity to work closely with a team of experienced attorneys on a broad range of litigation matters, supporting cases from initial discovery through trial.The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and experienced in managing complex case files, preparing litigation documents, and coordinating trial preparation. This position provides a collaborative and fast-paced work environment with regular in-office hours: Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM & Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.Key Responsibilities:Collect, analyze, organize, and summarize legal documents and case materialsDraft, review, and proofread pleadings, discovery requests, and responsesManage case files, deadlines, and maintain attorney calendarsAssist with scheduling, preparing, and coordinating witness interviewsOrganize trial exhibits and ensure attorneys have all required materials for hearings and trialPrepare trial materials including evidence binders, summaries, and supporting documentationCommunicate clearly and professionally with attorneys, clients, court personnel, and support staffUtilize Microsoft Office, document management systems, and legal research software proficientlyTrack and manage time effectively across multiple cases and litigation deadlinesAccurately document billable time for all tasks performedRequired Skills and Abilities:Exceptional attention to detail, organization, and time managementStrong legal writing, analytical, and research abilitiesAbility to collaborate effectively with attorneys and colleagues in a fast-paced environmentProfessional communication skills, both written and verbalAbility to maintain strict confidentiality and follow ethical standardsProficiency with legal technology, including advanced Microsoft Office features, online research tools, and document management systemsCritical thinking and problem-solving mindsetQualifications:3 - 4 years of litigation paralegal experience requiredValid driver's license requiredNotary Public designation preferred (or willingness to obtain)Physical Requirements:* Prolonged periods of sitting and computer use
