PotomacWave is looking for a Data Analyst to join our team supporting a Federal client in Washington, DC. This position will support the Office of Intelligence and Counterintelligence. This role assists in the development and implementation of data analysis techniques and data visualizations to support complex analytic challenges, with a focus on improving data understanding and contributing to data-driven decision-making.Responsibilities:Process structured and unstructured datasets to support the development and operationalization of data models, analytic tools, and applications that inform decision-makingApply basic data collection, mining, and pattern recognition techniques to assist in developing actionable intelligenceWork with analysts to understand data requirements and assist in creating data visualizations and reportsContribute to increasing data awareness and demonstrating the value of data analysis within the officeStay informed about technology standards, industry trends, and data analysis best practicesUtilize technologies including Python, R, SQL, and Tableau to analyze data and identify trendsAssist in the evaluation of training opportunities and provide basic recommendationsSupport the creation of clear and concise data visualizations for internal and external communication, aiding in the understanding of complex dataFollow established steps to make data-driven decisions, contributing to improvements in readership, feedback, and throughputContribute to the data science community by proposing data-driven quality projects and process improvementsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to document requirements, leverage existing capabilities, and deliver products to customersApply foundational mathematical and statistical concepts, programming skills, and clear communication to uncover insightsAssist in reviewing mission needs to evaluate policy and program effectivenessParticipate in enterprise-wide data science projects, learning and applying innovative approachesQualifications:A bachelor’s degree in the following areas of discipline: computer science, information science, statistics, economics, mathematics OR a professional certificate of training directly related to data analysis or data scienceA minimum of three (3) years of experience in data analysis fieldThe selection of an individual for this position may be conditioned upon their successful completion of a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examinationMust be a U.S. Citizen and have an active DOE Q or Top-Secret clearance.Salary range $85,000 - $115,000
