Asst Branch Manager

DescriptionAssists the manager with day to day banking transactions, opens accounts, IRAs, HSA, instant issue debit cards, etc. While giving the customer a great experience representing the bank's brand, values and plays a vital role in a welcoming, secure, and professional banking environment.Open new accounts: all forms of deposit accounts and add on services Manager customer accounts: overdrafts, refunds, cross sell opportunities Manage non-interest expense and income to the most profitable opportunity Digital banking questions and customer support Debit card questions and customer support Instant issue debit card machine operation and maintenanceComplete location opening/closing procedures in a safe mannerManagement of teller line: schedule, balancing issues, review/approval of transactions as needed Welcome and train new tellers on policies and proceduresTeam management: timecard review, input on reviewsMinor Duties: Back-up branch manager in absence Perform teller duties when required Originate and close consumer loans Review obituaries, place appropriate holds and prepare necessary paperwork Assist in resolving daily balancing issues Training review of products, policies, procedures during monthly branch meetings (all staff) Attend management meetings as required Maintain a sufficient understanding of and adhere to regulatory compliance requirements as applicable, including BSA/OFAC Courses and seminars as offered Other Duties as AssignedRequirementsRequirements: High school diploma or equivalent Banking experience preferred (2+ years or equivalent) Excellent organizational skills Excellent inter-personal skills Detail-oriented Problem-solving skills College level coursework in the business field preferredPhysical Qualifications: Be able to life and carry up to 50lbs Be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
