This is NOT a C2C opportunity and is on W-2.Client DetailsJob Position : Data Analyst Client : `Consumers EnergyLocation : Jackson, MichiganDuration : 7 Months (Possibilities of Extensions)Job description:The Data Analyst will be responsible for providing data analysis support within LVD Operations for various LVD Leaders including (Sr. Executive Director, Executive Director, Sr. Manager, Manager, Supervisor). The Data Analyst II is responsible for analyzing, visualizing, and interpreting data to support informed business and operational decision-making. This role works independently on moderately complex data initiatives and partners with business stakeholders, IT, and analytics teams to develop dashboards, reports, and insights using Power BI and other Consumers Energy data platforms and software solutions.The Data Analyst II demonstrates strong technical proficiency, data literacy, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations. This position requires a solid understanding of data lakes, data modeling concepts, and modern analytics tools.Job Responsibilities:Data Analysis & Reporting:Analyze structured and semi‑structured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that drive business outcomesDevelop, maintain, and enhance dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Microsoft Power BIPerform data validation, quality checks, and reconciliation to ensure accuracy and reliability of analytical outputsDocument data definitions, assumptions, methodologies, and reporting logicTranslate complex data findings into clear, concise, and actionable insights for technical and non‑technical audiencesBusiness Partnership & Communication:Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and define analytical needsProvide guidance on data availability, metrics, and reporting best practicesSupport data‑driven decision making through clear storytelling and visualization techniquesParticipate in cross‑functional analytics projects and continuous improvement initiativesRequired Skills:Bachelor’s degree required in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related field2–4 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related analytics roleStrong proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and dashboard developmentAbility to read, interpret, analyze, and visualize data using reporting and analytics toolsWorking knowledge of data lake architectures, data warehouses, and modern data ecosystemsProficiency in SQL or similar query languages for data extraction and analysisExperience working with large, complex datasets from multiple sourcesStrong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and integrityAbility to manage multiple priorities and work independently with minimal supervisionExperience developing enterprise‑level reports and dashboards using Power BI preferredExperience working with cloud‑based or enterprise data lake environments strongly preferredKnowledge of Lean Methodology and problem-solving tools
