As a summer intern you will assist other electrical and I&C engineers with various project tasks that may include engineering design, contract document production and construction phase engineering support. You will be mentored by a group of professional engineers and technical experts in designing, providing services during construction, and maintaining facilities for our clients in the water market.Your typical job responsibilities will include:Work under the supervision of senior level engineers.Perform a wide variety of routine assignments, which are clearly defined and require the application of standard design engineering techniques, procedures and criteria.Participate in design, coordination, and execution of projects for our clients for planning, engineering and/or construction documents, reports, studies, and calculations.Engaging in technical writing, marking up and detailing construction drawings.Assisting with services during construction which includes submittal review and RFI responses.As part of our team, our goal is to provide a training opportunity to engage in the roles and responsibilities of an infrastructure focused electrical and I&C engineer. You will also collaborate with our CAD designers to communicate how electrical and I&C requirements get translated into construction drawings. This role will help you build a solid foundation in the fundamentals of Electrical and I&C Engineering and show how electrical and controls design integrates with and impacts other disciplines.Here's what you'll needPursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or other closely related major from an ABET accredited program.Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.Good written and verbal communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.Personal transportation and a valid driver's license.Ideally, you'll also have:3.0 GPA.Must be at least a Junior.Self-driven time management and organizational skills.Experience with a PDF editor such as Bluebeam.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit and/or MicroStation.EIT/EI or on track to obtain.Posted Salary Range: Minimum40,000.00Posted Salary Range: Upper60,000.00Our health and welfare benefits are designed to invest in you, and in the things you care about.
