Junior Property Accountant
Position Summary
The Property Accountant supports the financial management of commercial properties, ensuring accurate accounting, reporting, rent escalations, reconciliations, and timely processing of financial transactions. This role works closely with Senior Property Accountant, Property Managers, ownership, vendors, and internal accounting teams to maintain financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and assist with operating and capital budgets.
· Perform monthly financial reporting, variance analysis, and reconciliations.
· Calculate rent escalations, operating expense reconciliations, and tenant billings.
· Manage accounts receivable and payable, including rent collections and vendor payments.
· Review invoices and resolve discrepancies with vendors.
· Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
· Communicate timely and clearly with property management, ownership, and accounting teams.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and management agreements.

Qualifications
· Associate’s degree required; bachelor’s degree preferred (Accounting, Finance, or related field).
· 3–5 years of property accounting or commercial real estate experience only no residential.
· Proficiency in Excel and Word; required.
· Experience with MRI, Yardi, Buildium, or similar property management software preferred. QuickBooks desktop required.
· Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
· Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
