Bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors.Serco supports the US Navy as a subcontractor for their Team Submarine contract supporting the acquisition of submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies once diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes that created impediments and inefficiencies in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.We are looking for someone who takes ownership of their work and thinks beyond just completing assigned tasks. The ideal candidate looks for ways to improve processes, builds tools that increase visibility, flags risks early, and helps reduce backlog. This role directly supports fleet readiness, so accountability and reliability matter. Strong written communication, time management, and the ability to work independently while staying aligned with leadership expectations are essential for success.In this role, you will:Serve as a backup and workload partner for configuration management within PMS 396Constantly coordinate with engineers, logistics teams, DLA, NAVSUP, and other stakeholders to get updates and drive actionThe job requires persistence and professional communication, especially when following up on overdue items or pushing for prioritizationBe organized, detail focused, and able to handle shifting priorities in an environment where new cases come in regularlyReview presentations, briefs, and formal correspondence for NAVSEA review and final approvalMaintain applicable Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M) as directed/requiredInterface with stakeholders to identify, assign, and track action items, leveraging initiatives to benefit submarine sustainment supportCollect information and provide recommendations to senior decision-makers through well-written documentsCommunicate with various Program Office representatives within the United Kingdom, NAVSEA, SSP, contracting entities and other Department of Navy organization in supporting PM concernsCoordinate with the technical community and develop white papers and presentations for the Government and the Navy on program status or issues impacting the programProvide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support and assist the Government with technical analyses, inquiries, research, testing, data validation for any matters relating to US/UK submarinesProvide analysis and metrics for issues that arise in the Program (e.g., late delivery analysis, delay claim analysis, and other availability issues)Conduct Meeting Administration (generate and distribute agendas, minutes, action items, etc.), particularly Design Support Working Group (DSWG) meetings with US/UK stakeholdersOrganize and maintain Program tracking files/tools on program status, actions items and issuesSupport the team in performing additional duties and responsibilities as assignedAttend meetings and program reviews, provide presentations, written materials, and/or electronic communications with foreign country representatives from one or more countries. This may include interfacing with foreign liaison officers located at US Navy and/or contractor facilitiesProvide timely and efficient responses for all urgent taskingEnsure program correspondence and deliverables are in accordance with Serco's Quality Assurance ProgramTo be successful in this role you will have:An active or current Secret clearanceUS CitizenshipA Bachelor's degree, or an associate's degree with 2 additional years of related experience, or a high school diploma/GED with 4 additional years of related experience8 years of experienceWorking knowledge and/or previous experience in Navy logistics and supply, including ability to navigate applications such as One Touch, Fed Mall, Haystack, and other equipment and parts management toolsAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings and associated parts listsBackground in identifying and resolving issues related to parts and equipment obsolescence with a strong understanding of Navy ILS documentation and its applicationStrong Excel skills including pivot tables, formulas, conditional formatting, and building trackersKnowledge of configuration management principles and systems such as the Configuration Management Data and Operations Application (CMDOA)Comprehensive understanding of U.S. Navy maintenance procedures and protocolsFamiliarity with formal change management processes, including the development of Preliminary Engineering Change Proposals (PECPs) and Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs)Prior experience working with ISEAs is an advantage, but not requiredHigh comfort level working with large datasets, tracking overdue actions, spotting trends, and turning raw data into simple updates for leadershipStrong follow-up skills and the ability to keep pressure on tasks while maintaining good working relationshipsProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and PowerPointStrong customer, interpersonal, and organizational communication skills (written and verbal)Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end-item customerAbility to travel at least 10% of the timeAdditional desired experience and skillsActive-Duty experience (former Supply Officer, Senior Logistics Specialist) in submarine service (SSBN) is a plusRecent experience in Team Submarine would be idealExperience with Navy acquisition and/or In-Service ProgramsPay TransparencyOur Total Rewards package includes competitive pay, performance-based incentives, and benefits that promote well-being and work-life balance—so you can thrive both professionally and personally.
