First Shift Production Supervisor

Gokoh Coldwater Incorporated (aka GCI) is a leading tier two supplier of sand cores for the automotive industry. We manufacture cores for castings of brake rotors and water passages. We are seeking a candidate to fill the role of Production Supervisor. The eligible candidate will support manufacturing by maintaining, overseeing repairing, and the servicing of production equipment. In addition, managing the plant floor from production to coaching staff for success. Responsibilities · Overseeing all the operational activities of the department. · Continuously improving the quality of products to meet the set standards and customers’ requirements. · Managing the performance of the team while ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations. · Developing plans that help operations run smoothly. · Supervising production. · Collecting and reviewing data to reduce inefficiencies and waste. · Evaluating employees and giving suggestions for improvement. · Capable of operating robotic and mechanical equipment. · Reducing accidents · Preventing injuries · Training · Staying on top of changes in regulations · Having the right safety equipment · Keeping your information safe · Team building · Maintaining morale Required Experience: · High School Diploma or GED 1-2 years’ experience working in maintenance related position. · Ability to learn new technologies. · Ability to retain information important to the job. · Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
