Lead IHS (Individualized Home Support) Staff with Training

Job Description Salary: $24 to $27 HourlySafeway Home Healthcare isseekinga compassionate, organized, and dependable Individualized Home Supports (IHS) Worker with Training to provide direct support services to individuals with cognitive and mobility-related disabilities while also serving in a leadership and mentorship role foradditionalIHS staff and clients.This position combines hands-on community support, skill development, organization, and administrative coordination. The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable working independently, and passionate about helping individuals build independence, confidence, and meaningful community connections.Reliable transportation isrequired, as this role involves regular community outings and support across multiple locations.Primary ResponsibilitiesDirect Support Services Seward Client (Approximately 15 Hours/Week)Provide direct IHS services to one primary clientlocatedin the Seward neighborhood of Minneapolis.Responsibilities include:Supporting community engagement and participationAssistingwith outings such as:MuseumsZoosShoppingCommunity events and activitiesAssistingwith mobility needs, including pushing a wheelchair and supporting safe community navigationHelping organize paperwork, schedules, appointments, and personal documentsAssistingwith identifying community resources, activities, and opportunitiesEncouraging independence, self-advocacy, and social connectionProviding prompting, encouragement, and organizational supportLead IHS Support & Administrative Responsibilities (Approximately 15 Hours/Week)Serve as a lead support staff for severaladditionalIHS clients and workers.Responsibilities include:Providing guidance and support to IHS workers, including family staffAssistingwith communication between staff, clients, and leadershipHelping support training sessions alongside the Designated Coordinator and Designated ManagerProviding coverage for staff call-outs or scheduling gapsAssistingwith organization and oversight of documentation and paperworkConducting client and staff check-insMeeting with clients in the community or home setting as neededSupporting staff with understanding goals, routines, boundaries, and best practicesHelping ensure services remain organized, person-centered, and consistentThis role would serve as lead support forapproximately 34additionalclients.Additional Client Support Roseville Area (510+ Hours/Week)Additionalhours are availablesupportingclients in the Roseville area.Responsibilities may include:Community outings and engagementTransportation to activities or physical therapyEncouragement with healthy routines and participation in the communityWalking support and activity promptingSupport with safe social media use and healthy habitsGoing to libraries, coffee shops, parks, and community activitiesWorking in homes with pets, including a friendly and energetic dogQualificationsPreferred qualifications include:Experience working in Individualized Home Supports (IHS), disability services, mental health, or human servicesStrong organizational and communication skillsAbility to work independently and problem-solveComfortable supporting individuals with cognitive disabilities and mobility challengesAbility to mentor, guide, and support other staffReliable transportation, valid drivers license, and willingness to transport oraccompanyclients in the communityComfortable working with diverse populations and personalitiesAbility to remain calm, supportive, patient, and encouragingComfortable with community-based work and active support rolesIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is:Organized and dependableKind, patient, and encouragingComfortable balancing direct support and leadership responsibilitiesAble to build rapport with clients, families, and staffFlexible and adaptablePassionate about community inclusion and helping people live meaningful livesAbout Safeway Home HealthcareSafeway Home Healthcareprovides person-centered support services focused on independence, dignity, and meaningful community engagement.
