Maintenance Mechanic

Maintenance Mechanic Shift: Day shift Compensation $33-$35 hourlyPosition Responsibilities: Perform diverse duties to install and maintain production and overall facility equipment Complete emergency/unscheduled repairs and preventative maintenance tasks (as scheduled) Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas. Schedule and support outside contractor activity Complete administrative tasks (pm tasks and purchase requisitions) Assist in maintaining plant security Dispose of waste per company policies Assist with plant self-safety and inspection audits Assist in general plant cleaning and general appearance Comply with all OSHA required activities for power industrial equipment Operate floor scrubber Comply with all company/department safety rules and procedures Actively participate and support continuous improvement initiatives Other tasks as assigned by leadership Requirements: Working knowledge of mechanics (rotating equipment, values, pumps, and ventilation systems) Ability to read blueprints, sketches and equipment manuals Knowledge of pipe fitting, electrical wiring and general mechanics Must be experienced in all facets of maintenance – mechanical, electrical, building, & vehicle repair Industrial electrical power and controls troubleshooting experience Piping (water and steam) Boilers – understand steam condensate system –tracing, coils, traps, and pumps Air compressor system- including filters regulators, dryers, and lubricators HVAC – air handling, blowers, dust collectors Lift truck- electric EE rated, battery and hydraulics Strong math aptitude Education/Experience: High School diploma/GED, Technical School diploma preferred 3-5 years’ experience in mechanical, electrical, or industrial engineeringEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYER
