Job Description 37539310 3rd Shift Packaging Technician, Athens, GA 3 MonthsSigma Systems is currently looking for a Packaging Technician to work on-site in Athens, GAShift Schedule: 3rd shift-3:00pm-1am, Package vaccines, run machineryLabel and package finished good40 hoursResponsibilities:To perform the duties associated with labeling, inspecting, and packaging of vaccines.Responsible for operating packaging equipment, ensuring target line rates are met. Collaborates effectively with other functional groups to ensure production goals are achieved and completed in a timely mannerOperation of packaging equipment (e.g.: labelers, pick and place, heat tunnel, vision systems, forklift, etc.)Inspect the product accurately and efficiently to meet quality guidelines.Perform equipment changeover and setup.Responsible for initial troubleshooting for packaging equipment issues (e.g., labelers, Pick and place, heat tunnel, etc.)Ensure that proper cGMP documentation is followed for completeness and adherence to our procedures and in a timely manner.Read, understand, and comply with Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.Preparation of QA line clearances (e.g., small volume line).Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work environment.Maintains facilities and equipment as required by Standard Operating Procedures.Cross-training in other areas within the department as required to meet business needs.Other duties as assigned by the Shift Line Leader or Supervisor.CommunicationCommunicates processing needs to co-workers.Communicates progress several times a day to the shift line leader and/or supervisor.Communicates at the time of the event any process occurrences to the shift line leader and/or supervisor (escalation process).Communicates facility- and inventory-related needs daily.AssessmentMonitors process against manufacturing records, data capture forms, and standard operating procedures.Participates in Daily Performance Review (Team).SystemsCompletes batch tickets with materials consumed during execution.Provides feedback as to the feasibility of improvement proposed by others.Adheres to defined process sequences.Ability to demonstrate a commitment to the HSE Program. Work in a safe and responsible manner. Supports safety policies and procedures. Identifies and properly reports unsafe work habits, conditions, and/or practices.Requirements:HS diplomaAssociate's preferred or equivalent experience2 to 3 years manufacturing experienceDetail-oriented with effective communication skills and quality consciousEquipment/Process troubleshooting skillsAbility to lift up to 35 lbsBasic math and computer skillsPreferred:5+ year of related experience.Forklift certified
