Role Overview: This position involves securing systems supporting critical Defense and Intelligence missions by applying risk management frameworks, engineering security controls, and maintaining system authorizations for cloud and on-prem environments.Key Responsibilities: Support system Assessment & Authorization (A&A) processes, develop and maintain security documentation, conduct vulnerability assessments, implement security controls per NIST and DoD guidelines, perform system hardening and patching, monitor security events, and collaborate with engineering teams to ensure security throughout the system lifecycle. Provide cybersecurity risk insights to leadership and stakeholders.Qualifications & Skills: 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity roles supporting RMF, A&A, vulnerability scanning, and system hardening; proficiency with tools like XACTA/eMASS; knowledge of NIST 800-series, DoD standards, and incident response; active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility; and relevant certifications such as Security +, CySA+, or CISSP. A bachelor’s degree in a STEM field is required, with preferred scripting, DevSecOps, and Agile experience.
