Currently, we have a Chief Financial Officer/ Chief Operating Officer opportunity with our finance/legal client, who is a pioneer in nationwide litigation finance solutions for law firms and commercial litigants. The firm operates established funds, maintains a proven underwriting platform, and has a seasoned team in place. Your specific duties will include:CFO ResponsibilitiesLead all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting for the firm and its fund vehicles.Oversee fund accounting, investor reporting, capital calls, distributions, and NAV calculations.Manage relationships with auditors, tax advisors, prime brokers, fund administrators, and banking partners.Design and maintain the firm's capital structure and liquidity management framework, ensuring efficient deployment of investment capital.Develop and maintain financial models, scorecards, and dashboards that give leadership clear visibility into performance.Ensure compliance with all financial regulations, fund covenants, and reporting obligations.Support capital-raising efforts through investor-ready financial materials, due diligence packages, and direct engagement with prospective investors and lenders. COO / Operational Leadership ResponsibilitiesDrive day-to-day operational execution across underwriting, portfolio management, legal operations, HR, IT, and administration.Maintain and optimize the firm's existing operating system (EOS-based), including facilitating quarterly and annual planning sessions, maintaining the scorecard, and ensuring accountability across departments.Own operational KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and lead process improvement initiatives.Ensure the right people are in the right seats, remove obstacles, and promote open, honest communication across departments.Oversee vendor relationships, technology systems, and office operations.Partner with department heads to align priorities, resolve cross-functional issues, and maintain execution cadence. Mergers & AcquisitionsLead or co-lead all merger, acquisition, and strategic transaction activity on behalf of the firm.Manage financial due diligence, deal structuring, valuation analysis, and integration planning for potential acquisitions or partnerships.Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities and present actionable recommendations to the CEO.Coordinate with external counsel, investment bankers, and advisors through deal execution and post-close integration. Required qualifications for the position include: Progressive experience in finance and/or operations leadership, with at least 5 years in a CFO, COO, or equivalent C-suite role.Demonstrated M&A experience is required — must have led or materially contributed to at least two completed transactions (buy-side or sell-side).Background in private credit, litigation finance, alternative investments, or fund management is strongly preferred.CPA, CFA, or MBA (or equivalent advanced degree/credential) is highly preferred.Must be based in Arizona or willing to relocate to Arizona prior to start date. This is a firm requirement. Pay Rate Range: Total compensation ranges from $150,000 to $500,000 annually, structured as a combination of:Base salary (commensurate with experience)Performance-based commission tied to fund and firm milestonesEquity participation in the firm Final structure will be determined based on candidate experience, package preference, and alignment with firm goals.Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
