Its employees consistently rank Moss as one of the best places to work.POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACTMoss’ Data Analyst for Enterprise Safety group supports Moss’s growing data and reporting needs by maintaining, enhancing, and optimizing existing reporting systems, dashboards, and data tools that support business operations and strategic decision making across the organization. This role is designed for an eager to learn junior analyst who is analytical, detail oriented, and motivated to grow technical and business intelligence skills in a fast-paced environment.This role will focus on maintaining, supporting, troubleshooting, and enhancing existing reports, dashboards, and recurring data processes to ensure data integrity, usability, and operational continuity, while also developing new reports, building data tools, supporting process improvements, and contributing to special projects that enhance business visibility, efficiency, and operational performance.This position will work cross-functionally with business leaders, operations teams, safety, fleet, finance, and technology stakeholders to deliver meaningful reporting solutions and actionable insights.Essential Job Duties And ResponsibilitiesMaintain, monitor, and troubleshoot existing dashboards, reports, and recurring data workflowsEnsure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting platformsIdentify reporting inefficiencies and recommend process improvementsUpdate existing reports based on changing business needs, operational metrics, and leadership requestsAssist in validating data sources, calculations, and reporting logicSupport users with report access, interpretation, and troubleshooting questionsMonitor automated reporting processes and resolve data refresh or workflow issuesDocument report structures, data definitions, and reporting procedures for consistency and sustainabilityPartner with internal teams to ensure reporting remains aligned with operational goalsAnalyze trends, patterns, and anomalies in operational data and summarize finding for leadershipTranslate raw data into clear, actionable business insightsAssist departments in defining meaningful metrics and success measurementsSupport data quality initiatives by identifying incomplete, inconsistent, or inaccurate recordsDevelop new dashboards, scorecards, and analytical reports to support strategic initiativesBuild data models, reporting tools, and automated solutions that improve efficiencyAssist with ad hoc analysis requests and executive-level reporting needsParticipate in cross-functional projects involving data collection, reporting modernization, and business intelligence initiativesSupport data migration, cleanup, and system implementation projectsResearch and recommend new tools, automation opportunities, and reporting enhancementsAssist in building scalable reporting solutions that can grow with the businessIdentify repetitive manual reporting tasks and recommend automation opportunitiesAssist in streamlining data collection, reporting workflows, and dashboard refresh processesSupport development of scalable reporting processes that reduce manual effort and increase accuracyParticipate in testing and validation of new reporting tools, automation, and system integrationsPerform other duties as assignedEducation And Work ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business Analytics, Information Systems, Computer Science, Statistics, Finance, or related field preferred2 to 4 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, business intelligence, or related analytical roleStrong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis functionsExperience with Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or similar reporting/visualization platforms preferredExposure to Python, R, automation tools, scripting, or ETL processes is a plusUnderstanding of data structures, relational databases, and reporting logicExperience developing dashboards, scorecards, KPI reporting, and business reporting solutions preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detailAbility to organize information, manage priorities, and meet deadlinesSelf-starter mindset with willingness to learn new systems, tools, and business processesPositive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire for professional growthExperience with Power BI, SQL, or Python for data analysis preferredFamiliarity with ERP, fleet, safety, operational, or construction-related data systems is a plusExposure to dashboard development and KPI scorecards, forecasting, and trend analysisExperience working with cross-functional teams to define reporting requirements and develop business solutionsInterest in data automation, predictive analytics, or process optimizationExperience with Power Query, Power Pivot, DAX, or similar advanced analytic tools is highly desirableJOB TITLE: DATA ANALYST - SAFETYJOB LOCATION: FORT LAUDERDALE, FL, OPEN TO REMOTECLASSIFICATION: FULL TIME – EXEMPT – SALARIEDREPORTS TO: SAFETY MANAGER – DATA ANALYTICS AND REPORTINGMoss is an equal opportunity employer.
