First, they will design innovative, cost-effective product configurations that meet end-users' needs. Second, they will source and select materials that are compatible with the product design, meet regulatory requirements, and align with the process capabilitiesresponsibilities:Design and develop chemical processes that are transferable and scalable to existing production equipment.Source and select materials compatible with product design, regulatory requirements, and process capabilities. Work to optimize raw material sourcing. Develop solutions to supply challenges when they occurDeliver a profitable portfolio of custom-developed productsDesign and execute experimental runs that characterize the interaction of input material variations with process parameters and the result on the output product.Deliver productsumented dion package for new eliver well-documented, dynamic design control for all products, meeting ISO 13485 requirements.Develop project plans for assigned deliverablesEffectively communicate changes in scope and/or timing to all appropriate functionsSupport operations and quality teams in continuous improvement initiatives and customer complaint investigationsualifications:RequiredBachelor's degree in chemical engineering6 years' experience in product development5 years' experience in a manufacturing environmentMedical device manufacturing experience including FDA-regulated, ISO 13485, 9001, cGMP manufacturing environmentsExperience in product testing, including, but not limited to, pH, viscosity, specific gravity, solids content, flow characteristics, shear rate, weight loss and microbiological samplingPreferredMS or greater degree in chemistry or chemical engineeringExperience manufacturing emulsions, surfactant systems, suspensions, and powdersExperience processing, compounding and filling liquid, cream, and gel products in a medical device or OTC settingEfficient in AutoCAD, project management software, and proficient in Microsoft OfficeBilingual, especially English/SpanishCompetenciesExcellent communicator, both internally and with customers, specifically to share technical informationAbility to transform product concepts into finished products, including prototype development and pilot processingCharacterize materials and designs against design input requirementsDevelop, communicate, and execute project plans for assigned deliverablesExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProject management skillsProblem Solving and decision makingFMEA and risk mitigation planningSelf-motivated to work independently or in a groupWHAT WE OFFERMativ benefits say a lot about how we care for each other.
