Clinical duties include processing whole blood and apheresis collections, and sampling for quality control. Duties performed in the component workroom include processing blood units into various components. Clerical duties include phone reception, printing reports, operation of office equipment such as fax machines and printers, in addition to basic computer skills in the blood bank information system.
