As a Dog Groomer, you will play a pivotal role in providing exceptional grooming services to our furry clientele while ensuring their comfort and well-being. Responsibilities: Grooming Services: Perform grooming services based on breed-specific standards and customer preferences, including but not limited to bathing, brushing, haircuts, nail trims, ear cleaning, and gland expression. Ensure high-quality work to exceed customer expectations. Animal Welfare: Prioritize the safety and comfort of each dog during grooming sessions. Maintain a gentle and compassionate approach, alleviating stress and anxiety, and addressing any specific needs or health concerns. Maintaining Grooming Equipment: Regularly clean and maintain grooming tools and equipment, including grooming tables, clippers, scissors, and brushes. Report any maintenance or repair needs promptly to ensure a smooth grooming operation. Client Communication: Consult with pet owners to understand their grooming preferences and discuss any health or behavior concerns about their pets. Provide professional advice and recommendations for pet care as needed. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the grooming team to coordinate appointments, manage grooming schedules, and ensure efficient and organized daily operations. Support team members when needed and contribute to a positive and uplifting team environment. Sanitation and Hygiene: Adhere to strict hygiene standards, maintain a clean and sanitary work area, and ensure grooming tools and areas are properly disinfected between each grooming session. Staying Current with Trends: Stay informed about current grooming trends, styles, and industry best practices. Attend workshops, seminars, or training sessions to enhance grooming skills and maintain up-to-date knowledge. Client Records: Accurately record and update client information, grooming specifications, and any special requests in the grooming database or software. Requirements: Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Dog Groomer with a strong portfolio showcasing expertise in various grooming styles and techniques. Animal Handling Skills: Demonstrated ability to handle dogs of all breeds and sizes with care, patience, and confidence. Grooming Knowledge: Proficient in breed-specific grooming standards, coat types, and grooming tools. Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members. Team Player: Willingness to collaborate within a team-oriented environment and support fellow groomers when necessary.
