This position will report to the Construction Manager and offers an opportunity to join a strong, collaborative team at an early stage of growth, gain valuable experience, and contribute to the continued expansion of GRC.ResponsibilitiesConstruction specialist is responsible for general laborer duties and support on construction sitesUse various equipment, hand, and power toolsPrepare ground trenches for pipes and utility linesRemove, fill, or compact earthSignal equipment operators to facilitate alignment, movement, and adjustment of machinery to conform to grade and utility safety standardsResponsible for the site set-up and clean-upLoad and unload tools, materials, and equipment on the truckWill be involved in new site Job Safety Analysis - JSA prior to starting constructionSetting up safety perimeter using signage, cones, and safety barriers and at times flagging trafficMay be required to work overtime; after hours; on weekends, for emergencies, or be on-call as work is needed to ensure work is completedAbility to follow instructionsRequired QualificationsA valid driver's license is required for most positionsOn-call and weekend availabilityTravel is RequiredPreferred QualificationsConstruction: 1 year Class A CDL Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skillsStrong written and verbal communications skillsUnderstanding of basic utility construction processes and terminology a plusAdditional InformationHourly Range: $20 - $25 Hourly, based on experienceSchedule: Day Shift: Monday - Friday & Night Shift: Sunday - ThursdayTravel Requirements: 100%Role Openings: 1Target Start Date: 2-3 weeks from offerInterview ProcessRecruiter ScreenHiring Manager InterviewFinal InterviewConditional offer upon successful background checkEqual Opportunity EmployerGlass Roots Construction (GRC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
