In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day operations, provide leadership to electricians and apprentices, and oversee project-specific construction activities. Responsibilities include crew supervision, construction management, and both medium- and long-term planning to ensure readiness, efficiency, and quality results. With nearly 2 GW of solar and battery energy storage projects we are well positioned for continued success in the rapidly growing clean energy sector.ManagementELECTRICAL SUPERINTENDENT JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Plan, organize, and direct the work of electrician employees on a daily basisExamining plans and potential sites, as well as developing a plan to install all electrical wiring and equipment installation needsSupervise workers and field personnel in implementing the electrical planEnsure all safety measures and regulations are followed, as accident prevention and worker safety are high priorities in this potentially dangerous environment.Monitor work progress and coordinate with the site superintendents, Director of Construction and Safety to deliver progress reportsGeneral project planning prior to project commencementManage project supplies so that products arrive on time and are purchased at lowest possible costManage site preparation and cleanup TrainingHold mandatory training sessions on installation methodology and safetyApply knowledge of National Electrical CodeTrain conduit and wiring runsTeach homeruns, wiring combiner boxTeach tool management standardsSupervisory ResponsibilitiesSupervision of Electricians on jobsiteProvides coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees, initiating, coordinating, and enforcing systems, policies, and procedures.Work EnviornmentFast paced and ever-changing environment.Ability to work in extreme environments, cold, winter weather, hot sunAble to work in confided spaces, and atticsNot afraid of heights and able to climb on top of roofs100% field workPhysical DemandsStanding or walking for long periods of time.Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls.Bend or twist their body.Repeat the same movements.Climb ladders, scaffolds, or poles.Ability to work long hours as required for the installation crews to work to optimal efficiency Position Type And Expected Hours Of WorkThis is a full-time position. DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES MAY CHANGE AT ANY TIME WITH OR WITHOUT NOTICE.QualificationsREQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES) Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience as a Journeyman Licensed ElectricianJourneyman License Required Working knowledge of construction, electrical work, systems, and troubleshooting100% field work and must be willing to travel to various locations as required within and outside of New Mexico.Able to do equipment layout and read architectural plans/blueprintsUnderstanding of residential and commercial circuitryAdvanced pipe bending skills (at least ½ inch through 1-inch EMT)Strong working knowledge of National Electrical Codes.Proficient in the use of all tools and equipment related to commercial electrical work.Strong communication and organization skills.Must possess the skills to communicate job requirements and safety standards to the job crew, as well as possess a proven ability to motivate small or large groups of individuals.Ability to transport materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks (up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds with assistance)Able to climb ladders, work with tools, work in crawl spacesMust have clean driving recordMust successfully pass a pre-employment background and drug screeningGridworks is an equal opportunity employer.
