Job Description Job Opportunity: Millwright PEMB / IMP Installer – Metal Building ConstructionLocation: Abilene,TXPay: $24-$30/hr DOE plus per diem- $115/daySchedule: Full-Time, Contract | M-F 7-5 with a 45-minute lunch. Saturdays are 8 hours 7-3:30 and occasional Sundays if needed (4 hours, no double pay).Position SummaryWe are seeking experienced field team members for the installation of Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB), insulated metal panels (IMP), and wall systems. This role involves assembling prefabricated steel building components, detailing, connecting, and supporting full building erection activities in a fast-paced construction environment. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience with PEMB systems, Butler Buildings, millwright work, or similar industrial/mechanical installation backgrounds. We are looking for dependable professionals who can work efficiently, safely, and with minimal supervision.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall insulated metal panels (IMP), wall panels, and PEMB componentsPerform detailing and connecting of structural steel and building systemsAssemble prefabricated metal building systems according to drawings and specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, layout drawings, and installation plansSafely use hand tools, power tools, lifts, and rigging equipmentWork at heights and in active construction environmentsMaintain productivity while ensuring quality workmanship and jobsite safetyCoordinate with crew leaders and field supervisors to complete projects on schedulePreferred ExperienceExperience with:Pre-Engineered Metal Buildings (PEMB)Butler BuildingsIMP installationStructural steel erectionMillwright or industrial mechanical installation workCandidates with millwright backgrounds are strongly encouraged to applyExperience assembling prefabricated building systems preferredRequirementsOSHA 10 or 30 Certification REQUIREDAbility to work at heights and in varying weather conditionsReliable transportation and strong attendanceAbility to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding workMust be safety-focused and team-orientedIdeal CandidateThe ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, experienced in prefab metal building assembly, and capable of handling installation work with minimal oversight.
